I just sat outside the entire 2 hours and 39 minutes of the Solar Eclipse, Monday, August 21st, 2017. Today, I experienced the first solar eclipse of my lifetime thus far. What turned into just geeking out at a rare phenomena in nature, quickly became a source of inspiration and an overflowing of thoughts in my mind that inspired me to write and share;
In a world dominated by masculine action, the conscious mind, and the ego - this eclipse serves as a time to harness and embrace our feminine motion, the subconscious mind, and the sacred self. As we watch the moon dance gracefully and steadily across the sun, we value this time as a reminder that the yin, or feminine energy, has the ability to come forth and overcome the powerful yang, or masculine energy. I wake up to a world filled with more and more anger, hostility, and separation, which is due to an excessive flow of yang. The sun, or yang energy, is actually a positive symbol, but an excessive flow of it without yin to balance creates havoc. This rare occurrence comes at a perfect time to remind us that the gentle and emotional nature of the moon is not to be overlooked by the light of the sun. Eclipses bring about rapid change and symbolize motion manifesting from the spiritual, internal world out into the physical, external world. This rapid change will NOT be chaotic, as sometimes change can be, so channel in and allow peaceful awareness to wash over you. Opening your heart to areas of your life that have become stagnant or dry; Cool down, unwind, and release any frustration or tension. This occurs during the new moon lunar cycle which is a good time to set intentions and start setting goals. The sun itself represents our focus, desires, goals, and personal significance - so use this time of alignment as a portal to exponential growth and diminishing of the ego.
May peace prevail on earth.
